Can I use my own layout for the price information?
Yes, you can use our shortcode to display any of the share price figures anywhere on your site.
How do I display the announcements?
The ASX Announcements will be added as blog posts in the ‘Link’ format so they open the pdf file. You can use the ‘asx_announcements’ short code or you can use your theme’s blog post display settings.
If your theme doesn’t link directly to the PDF url but rather displays the text of the url on the page you can install a plugin to fix this. We recommend trying the ‘Redirect Link Format‘ plugin to solve this issue.
Where are the ASX Announcements stored?
Every time your cron job runs it checks the Aus Stocks repository for newly lodged announcements. It then adds a blog post to the WordPress database as a ‘Link’ and copies the pdf file to the uploads folder. These files can accrue in space on your server and considerations should be given to accommodate the total file size of these pdfs with your hosting account. If you have questions regarding your hosting storage arrangements please contact your hosting provider.
Why is there a delay in my price and announcements showing on our site?
All share prices and announcements are delayed 20 minutes due to ASX licensing restrictions.
There is also a delay when your first signup for a subscription and the data becoming available. Please allow a couple of hours for your subscription to become active. New subscriptions are only setup during business hours, though you can place your order at any time.
